i just bought a tablet off of someone he did a factory reset on it butg when i brought it home it wont let me do anything with

I just bought a tablet of a guy on the let go app, He did a factory reset on the device. When I brought it home to set it up for my son it wont let me continue with out a account that was previously synced to it what can I do please help me
