Solved! I just connected my new Samsung tv to the u verse box. I have the regular tv channels but they are in black and white, no colo

No color often happens when you are using the component connections and have the wires mixed up. Need details about how you are connecting the two.

If your TV has a shared component video (3 RCA jacks) - composite video (1 RCA jack) and you connected it correctly you may have to select composite in the TV menu. If you didn't do that you would get what you got - BW.
