I Lost remote

Can't watch dvd, cause I can't change the channels to video mode and can't operate the volume, can this be done manually or would I need to purchase another remote.

If your TV doesn't have the buttons on it you will need either the original remote or a good universal remote like the Logitech Harmony remotes.
