It's between these 2 models that im looking at. In terms of reliability, which brand is more reliable? And also which has better cooling system? Generally speaking, Asus has a reputation for making good laptop while Dell (excluding Alienware) is a bit better than average reputation. However, Asus is notoriously known for having very poor technical support. If you have problems with the laptop, then good luck trying to get a human to help you. On the other hand Dell's tech support is generally pretty good from what I've read.

I have not read any reviews of the Asus G551JW-DM017H, but I have read reviews of the Dell Insipron 7559 because I was interested in buying one... until my desktop GPU died and I replaced it with a GTX 970.

Overall the Dell can handle games pretty well. Since the Asus has the same specs it, it should perform similarly to the Dell. Fallout 4 (pretty demanding game) can be played at 1080p with mostly high graphics settings, but a few things need to be set to medium to get high FPS in that game. The GTX 960m is what a lot of people would consider an "entry level gaming performance" GPU. Everything below the GTX 960m would be considered "mainstream performance" or "non-gaming" GPUs.

Probably the two biggest complaints about the Dell is the mousepad and the screen. The mousepad is considered functional, nothing really great about it (like mousepads on MacBooks), but nothing terrible either. Since you are going to be using a mouse to play games, it is a non-issue. The IPS screen is considered average quality, but some people wish it was a bit brighter.
