DirectX 11
Nvidia for gaming but no need the best
Ram 2 GB GB higher a little
Hard drive 500Gb

Dual Core, 2GB of RAM, HDD.

You should be aiming for 8GB of RAM for gaming nowadays, and if you're playing high budget games from within the last 3 years you'll want a higher end CPU. If games have longer load times you might consider an SSD, but that's not huge.

I mean, you can't get a modern one. Or one that would run games. But you can buy them on ebay and in computer recycling centers.

It's probably best if you provide a budget for the laptop which you want to buy.

Technically speaking, even a $400 laptop is "capable of playing games". But that depends on the game in question and what your minimum acceptable level of performance is for both graphic settings and frame rates. Minecraft on a $400 laptop? Yes, it is possible. GTA V on a $400 laptop? Keep dreaming.
