I need help laptop screen broke did a clean install now I'm stuck

my Samsung chronos 7 screen broke and I did a clean install with a external monitor with hdmi and now I'm stuck because I cannot see now I tried to install drivers with the hard drive on my mom's computer and it's not compatible please help

on most laptops there a funtion key and a key on top of the keyboard that will turn the ext monitor port on and off. try using the funtion key set up and an ext monitor to see if the laptop is posting.
