I want download my contacts and pictures from my phone to my computer however the screen on the phine is blank

You can try connecting it to the computer via USB cord and see if it will let you access the internal storage without seeing the screen. Some phones will, some won't. However if it isn't even turning on, then you can't get the info from it.

Or, if you have the info on a SD card (not a SIM) then you can remove the SD card and connect it to the computer to get any info.
