I have the Logitech G430 headset meant for pc but I want to run both my ps4 and pc audio through it, but have the mic working as well, so I can chat with friends on ps4 and listen to game sound on pc.

Not gonna happen with this headset. They are USB and therefor have their own built-in soundcard which does not support PS4. What you want to do requires a mixer and a headset with 3.5mm jacks as far as I know.

It works just fine on my ps4, it works all the time.
