I5 3570 non "k" unlockable?

can you unlock a 3570, if so what mobo would i require?
also how reliable is it to overclock with out going the k route

Though you cannot unlock a non-K chip you can still up the multiplier 3 or 4 steps for an extra boost.

For the motherboard you would have to use one with the Z75 or Z77 chipset. Best bet would be a board like the ASRock Z77 Extreme4.

While there is a little play room with the normal Intel® Core™ i5-3570 process they are not going to be the best value.
