i5 4690k vs i7 4790k in VR

Hi guys, considering changing my i5 4690k to i7 4790k in my PC mainly for VR use with Oculus Rift..will I see some noticeable improvements in terms of performance or am I stay with current CPU? My GPU is GTX 1080 right now.

No, (vr)games dont benefit from the i7 hyperthreading.

try overclocking.

It would help in a select few games, most prominently Lone Echo. But the 4690K is overall fine for VR.
