Sorry if this is in the wrong place but I don't have a clue what category I should have this in. I would say it is a tech question... I think
I was hoping someone could help me with this.
I bought this Inspiron 17" 5000 Touchscreen Laptop, i7-5500U 8 ram and a Intel HD 5500 graphics.
This is my first laptop and I thought it was kind of slow. but being a laptop... I thought maybe I need more ram but I have nothing installed on it yet.
After reading "5th Gen intel CPU or 6th gen?" I think I might want to take it back.
My dilemma is I got this on sale and can return it if I do it soon. The newer one that has taken it's place Inspiron 17" is 6th Generation Intel® Core i7-6500U 8 ram and has a AMD Radeon R5 M335 4GB DDR3 video.
The difference in Price is 200.00. Should I take the i7-5500U back and get the other one i7-6500U.
Of course I would like to save money but not if the new one is worth the extra 200.00.
Is the 6th gen that much better than the 5th gen? what about the video? I think the intel hd 5500 graphic is a on board and the AMD m335 is a video card. I am not sure I got that right but which one is better?
also... the battery the new laptop is integrated and it is not on the i7-5500U. (so I can replace supposedly easier)
Anyways.. I would really appreciate your input on this. The more I read up on this the less I know
TIA
