IDE HD on a Digicam??!

Hello. Do CF to IDE adapters work the other way around they're normally used? If so you could use a 2.5" (or preferably 1.8") HD to have mass storage in your digicam. Specially if yours is of the ones that support good quality video.
Does anyone has any info on this ? Thx.

Probably not. I think IDE cables could only go to a certain length.
