Ideas on Focal Chorus SW800v?

I have the opportunity to purchase a Focal Chorus SW800V subwoofer at a good price *under $500 new thanks to Ultimate Electronics. I know I'd rather have something a bit more punchy for surround sound movies, but for under $500, I can't think of a good comparison. I am currently running a 10in JBL sub that was $100 bucks, not worthy of the rest of my setup.

Has anyone uses subwoofers from Focal? There arn't too many reviews out.
