Can this phone be used with Verizon? A friend of mine gave me his phone and
I was wondering if I can utilize this phone with Verizon. any ideas?

No. Sorry, iDEN i series phones only work with Nextel or Boost (Nextel PrePaid).

iDEN is not compatible with the CDMA or AMPS analog cellular formats.
