Greetings Folks,
I'm the go-to-go for PC problems at my church and a fellow member gave me their laptop a week ago that wasn't allowing them to start into Windows.
Kinda solved that issue, but ended up with another issue now, that's causing the Blue Screen of Death (BSOD).
It's happening when I try to access the web via Google Chrome and the rest of the other browsers I have installed. Although I just did another test a while ago and Opera seems to be accepting searches w/o crashing.
Anyway, the specs are...
The message I'm getting is as follows...
A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage
to your computer.
if this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen,
restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow
these steps:
Check to be sure you have adequate disk space. If a driver is
identified in the Stop message, disable the driver or check
with the manufacturer for driver updates. Try changing video
adapters.
Check with your hardware vendor for any BIOS updates. Disable
BIOS memory option such as caching or shadowing. If you need
to use Safe Mode to remove or disable compenents, restart yoru
computer, press F8 to select Advanced Startup Options, and then
select Safe Mode.
