I'm looking for a gaming laptop with a long battery life for college and playing dota 2

I'm looking for a laptop that can handle long gaming sessions around 6hrs+ if possible . at 60fps playing dota 2 at max settings my max budget is at $1350

i would also like it to be light and thin enough to carry around

well the most important thing is the battery life . im geting the laptop for uni mainly but i can settle for dota 2 on low settings but i would like it to be at least at 60 fps if possible

With laptops you tend to either get battery life or performance, if can't plug it into an outlet you're unlikely to get a "long" gaming session out of it.

A gaming laptop will come in at at roughly 6 lbs so approximately double the weight of a mid range laptops. Batteries and gaming components are thick and heavy when compared to normal laptop components so you can only go so thin with a gaming laptop.

im not going for a gtx 970m or 960m
i just want some thing that meets my needs witch is a laptop thats capable of running dota at 60 fps at low settings
with a long battery life if possible

Its a laptop, everything is more demanding than normal. You're wanting a laptop to push out a consistent 60fps on max settings for 6 hours plus solely on battery life. Your expectations are incredibly unrealistic since even a laptop browsing the internet and typing up word documents won't last that long (generally battery expectancy is around 6 hours tops).

If its low settings you really don't need to throw that much money at it then and on the other end of scale if you want something small and light you can get a mac for that price.

How big a screen do you want? My little Lenovo X140E can handle the original Guild Wars, so I'd think DOTA should be possible (I don't have it). Battery life when surfing/writing/reading is probably a good 8-10 hours, especially since I replaced its mechanical HDD with a Samsung SSD. I've not checked battery life while gaming, but I'm sure it is somewhat less.
It is only 10.1" though, 1368x768.

alternately, an AMD A10-7400-series will have decent battery life, and can game decently on 1366x768 and ac power.

Or, for $1350, get a $400-500 laptop, and an $800-900 micro-atx mini-tower desktop PC for gaming

Re-order your want list by priority then maybe we can come up with something real.
