Image Backup safe?

I'm creating a system image backup of my pc, since I want to try and install a cracked program. The program seems to be legit, but just to be safe I want to backup my pc. If I do end up getting a trojan or some sort of virus from the torrent, would restoring my pc from system image completely get rid of any infections/malware 100%?
