It would help if you provided additional information about your OS and the writing application that you use.
I.e., probably need to change to or otherwise set up the applicable configuration.
EDIT: Also noticed but did not immediately comment on the "free" part.
Hi Ralston, thanks for the answer. I use Win 7 OS. I just checked out Azure. Actually, last night I did a full backup to my Seagate one terabyte extension drive. I am an old guy, 70, and once or twice a year I do this to save my personal writing files, short stories, memoirs, photos and docs. So I should do this more regularly. Meanwhile, I watched a YouTube video on backing up to Google Drive, and it is easy to do. So now I am backing up my daily writings to Drive. Right now these solutions seem sufficient.
