So here is the issue, my current laptop, which is a hp pavillion g series pentilum laptop, is starting to fail after 2 years of service, and I am need of a new laptop. (I already have a desktop so don't mention about them)

The laptop I am looking for... (Get ready for a mini wall o' text)

Needs to have at least 6hrs battery life.
Have a 15.6"+ screen.
Have a powerful CPU.
Dedicated GPU.
At least 6-8gb of ram
1tb hard drive
Looks... *scratches chin serveral times* sleek or awesome looking!
Cost... Anything under £700... I don't know what that is in dollars, sorry American/Canadian users of the Internet...

Reasons I need something that powerful:
Gaming, I do alot of it...
3d graphics...
Video rendering...
Image renderings (I'm studying architecture in (UK) college and it requires alot of power to render into a lifelike image.
Photoshop...

Mac enthusiasts are welcome... (They are people as well)

Damn this post has a lot of dots...

gaming? £700? you're very lucky - you won't find any retail laptop that does that well, but there's only 1 uk custom builder that could do this job.
http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/notebooks/cosmosII/
you can get 1080p, I7, 8GB RAM, 850M graphics for £710 and 1TB costs around £10 more, you'll want extra arctic thermal paste, and the silver warranty - both of these cost £14 total.
if you can extend to £734 then this is a beasty machine for the price - anything close to this retail will be £900+ or more.
benchmarks for the 850M are here - http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForce-GTX-850M.107795.0.html
basically you can run most games at max 1080p, unless its things like crysis 3 - in which case turn it down to high without AA and it...

oh and the laptop itself is max 34mm thick - so its 1.6 inches. Very thin.

A note to the notebookcheck link:
the low, med and high FPS numbers are in 720p and the ultra is in 1080p so be careful with these numbers. If you tune down graphics in 1080p you wont get back those much higher numbers.

Kudos,
Albert
