Increasing audio in laptops

I have an hp mini 110, I want to increase its sound like VLC player enables to boost sound upto 300% but I like to ask if there are other ways, and also tell me if there are any risks in increasing the volume. Thanks

The software option will help to some degree but don't expect a dramatic boost due to the fact that your speakers on the HP mini is tiny.
