Information about Dell Precision M4800

im thinking to buy the precision M4800......for its graphical and processor power for Maya, after effects etc work.........i want to know how is this laptop and want to know the overall thoughts about this laptop...

The most commen cpu is the i7-4800 and the most common video card is the nvidia 1100m although they do offer the 2100m. In the engineering fields and graphics processing fields, these are both lower end professional mobile cards.

I use the m4800 at work for software development it has the i7-4800 and the nvidia 1100m. Its an excellent laptop, over kill for writing software. I love the case and the 1080p display. The case feels sturdy is beutiful and what you would expect quality wise from a $1500.00 - $2200.00 US laptop.

I am seriously considering getting one with a slightly faster processor and the nvidia 2100m to use as my home work station as I do process RAW images from my Sony camera from time to time. I seldom play games but from what I read about the nvidia 2100m it can hold its own on medium settings while gaming.

It will be a massive update for me as my current laptop is 4 years old.

Thank you JQB45 i have considered this laptop and im in the process of obtaining it in the next few weeks i ordered mine with i7-4700MQ with 16 GB of RAM and qudro k2100 graphics and 128 SSD plus a 1TB hard drive.....and once again thank you for your opinion
