Solved! Inspiron 1501 monitor

Hello,
I have an inspiron 1501. problem started in may. the right side of the monitor is black, or has vertical lines (green, blue, yellow, white), progressively larger area, over time... now, 1/2 of the screen is black...

It sounds as if the LCD has gone bad. You can easily buy a new one and replace it.
