Inspiron N5110 Charger Problems

My Dell Inspiron N5110 has some kind of problem with charging. When I plug the charger into the outlet, the blue light at the end of the charger lights up, as soon as I plug it into the laptop, the light turns off and the laptop does not charge. Please help.

I've been surfing around various sites and they all point to it being a motherboard fault, not the charger.
It requires motherboard replacement so you'll have to contact Dell if you want to go ahead with that.
