Solved! install error "Compatibility Assistant" Corel dvd moviefactory 7

I downloaded the trial version of Corel DVD Moviefactory pro 7 from the developer site. i tried to install on windows 10 pro x64, an error "This app can't run on this PC" my system config. I used the application till windows 7.

windows 10 pro x64
16 gb RAM
Asus M5A99fx pro 2.0
1 TB HDD
amd HD 5450 GPU 2GB RAM

It's not Win 10 compatible. It was made for XP and Vista. Try installing it using compatibility mode.

thanks for your reply. how the old version of corel (Ulead) dvd movie factory plus 6 can be installed on windows 10 (I installed on my system), i used it on windows 7 x64 till i update it. what is the use of compatibility assistant, my doubt is the compatibility assistant was not working properly. i have tried it with windows xp to windows 8 manually in compatibility mode. i am doing video editing job. i used different version of plugins.all other apps and plugins are installed nicely, except (ulead) corel dvd movie factory pro 7. The developer system requirement was minimum windows vista, xp.

i have download corel dvd moviefactory pro 7 as trial form the developer site, and tried to install it on windows 10 x64, but an error "Compatibility Assistant" issue and This app can't run on this pc message pop up. i have tried with system compatibility trouble shooter as well as manually from windows xp sp2 to windows 8. i can't complete the installation. previously it was used with windows 7 without any problem, after updating to windows 10, i facing this problem. finally i installed the ulead dvd moviefactory plus 6 on windows 10 (the same system). can you help me to overcome this issue. adv. thanks.

It's likely that the software (XP/Vista Era) just isn't compatible with Windows 10. Would Corel VideoStudio be an option for you?
