Hello,
I have an intel centrino 2 processor in my laptop but it is not powerful enough for certain jobs I need to do.

Is there an alternative more powerful processor I could upgrade my laptop

you can upgrade the processor but you wont be able to upgrade to the newest ones. i would recommend getting a new laptop

Ok Updating your Laptops CPU which is a 2.13 2.13 to a 3.0 3.0 makes a huge difference!
Adding ram also from let's say 4 gigs to 8 gigs and using a faster ram would also make a huge difference.
This would cost you about $200 and you can easily do it yourself. If your Laptop is and Acer. Others need a tech or a video off YouTube to see first hand how to do yours.
But it's a lot cheaper than buying a whole new rig!
Again if you do not wish to do this look for a second hand Alien ware Laptop on EBAY OR KIJJJI at about $600 which is outstanding and maybe needs a new Battery which is nothing. and it's plugged in anyway.
