I have recently attempted to use my webcam and cannot get it to function properly. The laptop is still pretty new and web cam still had the protection sticker from me never using it over it today. Neither skype nor youcam will recognize the built in camera in my Pavilion DV7. I went to both the main HP site and youcam to delete and reinstall both the camera and the driver.
Before reinstalling driver i ensured it was up to date and there were no flags or indications of problems in the device manager menu. Reinstalling both the program and drivers did not fix the problem.
My only guess is my newer, nice laptop came to be with a bad camera..
I did see a ton of over threads with identical topic though...any help or solutions would be greatly appreciated.
