So I am assuming that the iPhone 5 won't have reception issues, which they will add as a revolutionary and magical new technology. Then they will have issues with something else, not admit that there are problems, and give you yet another case to "patch up the problem" and make you shut up about it. As well, how high are they going to go for #'s?

"Hey, what do you have there?"
"Oh, it's the new iPhone 13. It's magical!"

But, by the time that happens, Android will probably have the market solid, and Apple will be the second in line in yet another market. As well, who bets that Apple loses the tablet market in 3 years? Then what? Make the iPhone XL? Add phone capabilities to the iPad?

The whole point of Apple is to make the best product! They do what others won't and can't, that is why the high resolution makes sense. Even if they didn't do that, we have already seen the high resolution on both iOS 4 and iPod Touch 4. With these two products equipped with this great advancement ( which greatly helped Apple with putting the iOS 4 above all other smart phones ), it would only make sense that Apple do it again to yet again put there product greatly above the rest. I find this argument the same for most other rumors on the iPad. It just makes sense.

I hope the rumors of the 2048×1536 retina display is true, I would consider getting one. The Motorola's Xoom $700 price is way to much.

Asus Transformer for $399 is an option as well.

With any luck, the new devices will bring something new to the table. I'd grin from ear to ear if Apple ever had a monopoly but I hope we shall never reach that point; there's cheaper tablets out there without an Apple logo that have to be worth a look.

Hell they can't make my iPhone 3GS work any better with software updates why would i want to buy another Apple product. With that said are they ever going to let your Apple products sync with more than one pc/mac? .....Probably not.

So why was the resolution on the first iPhone so low? Other phones were miles ahead and 'if' they wanted to do so, a whole ruck of phones would be out now with the same or higher res?

By calling other people 'losers', plus to 'blow you', really doesn't add weight to your points. Buying a product does not make you or anyone else special, worth more or more intelligent, but installing iTunes really can increase a persons iq level, as they try to figure out why its suddenly slowed down.

This statement makes no sense. You assume that people will the current iPad MUST purchase the iPad 2 for the same price as the original?!? Apple is not forcing any one to buy another iPad and is purely up to the consumers if they want the latest and greatest version of the product.

I hate apple with a passion, but if they release an ipad with resolution of 2048x1536, I'll buy it for that reason alone. I have hoped for higher resolution screens for so long, especially on mobile devices. What's available is never enough to satisfy me. I'm still shaking my head over how all of the retarded consumers made such a big deal about wanting "1080p" that manufacturers obliged and dropped the high end laptop screens from 1920x1200 down to 1920x1080. Doh! Stupid people...

Apple sure is tearing it up, gotta give it up to marketing, design and sales! While I'm not much of an Apple fan, they have done a good job pushing the market forward. I still love that on an iphone I don't have any of the crap carrier skin/apps/crap. I wish Android would've pushed that 🙁
