Maybe Apple could raise the Apple tax and release "new" products faster.
Fanbois are willing to pay so far.

Don't look now but I see the Apple-tea party showing up.

I have always know this to be the case

That in reality much of the technology has already been developed and the big companies are just letting it out a small upgrade at a time when in reality they have much more advanced stuff lying around in the basement just waiting for the right opportunity to sell it at the highest possible price

The iPad 2 hasn't hit stores and already there is talk of an iPad 3. Does any apple tablet do anything that my HTC Evo can't?

You mean that smart... this could make them a killing. It will definitely change the way people view the Apple fanbase if both sell as well as the first.

As well as how people view the market.

A lot cupcake,

That's why HTC would sell their grandma to be Apple... It's not about helping people, or being crunchy granola, and kumbaya... It's about making money and providing a cohesive product that fulfills people's expectations for the most part... Apple nails that with ease and they continue to do so - they've gotten the formula and as long as they don't drop the ball they will continue to make bank... For all the b*tching, moaning an complaining I read on this blog, they don't give a squirt of piss and make a killing - and guess what they don't need to give a sh*t about what you and I think... I respect them for it and so does HTC which is why HTC didn't come to the market with a decent tablet before Apple, only after...

It's the truth, it's ugly, and it's why Apple is top dog... HTC would do well to learn and beat them at their own game instead of trying to one up them - Innovate and bring something that makes people pay attention and spend money, baby... I love Capitalism!

hugs and kisses

nicely said 😉

Wow, if that really happens, what a slap in the face to their customers. There better be some sort of upgrading option for ipad/ipad 2 owners. Its one thing to be providing the latest, its another thing to keep releasing revisions to the point where the value of the product changes in a day and night fashion.

now wait a sec. I am no fan boy of apple. In fact I absolutely hate the apple I am forced to use at church (it was a refurbish... and it was not properly fixed! Even after several returns). However, I know several iphone ipad and mac users. Lets give them some credit, they are all painfully aware that their computer or handheld will be out of date in 6mo or less, but that is why they know what features they want, and then jump in when that feature is released. It is usually every 2 generations/years for the phone and 4 generations/years for the computer which is similar to the PC and smartphone users that I know.
Personally I have a blood pact with my phone. First phone lasted 4 years and I only got rid of it because ATT was no longer supporting the old analogue signal in my area. The next one was 7 years, and the current one is a refresh of the last one while I wait for a decent Android or HTC to come out (love the phones, but there is no way I am charging it every single day! It just defeats the whole idea of a 'mobile phone'!). For the computer I do a major upgrade every 2 years. First the core system (CPU, mobo, ram), and then the 'accessories' (graphics, OS, case, HDD, etc). It keeps me on the upper end of the spectrum, but without breaking the bank. The best part is that I constantly feel like I am getting fresh performance, while my mac friends are tied to the same system for 4 years, always complaining that it is getting slower and slower as the updates pile on, and new hardware makes them obsolete. Sure, my system is not quite as fast as theirs when they get it out of the box, but I generally pass them up in about 6 months, so I'll let them gloat for 6mo while I get 3.5 years of them leaving me alone.
