Get a real job.

"...which contains 78 percent of the pixels of the iPad screen."

"...the iPhone 4 is powered by the same A4 chip that's inside the iPad"

so your telling me for an extra 22% i can have an iPad... i smell iPad v2 on the horizon

Hellbound...aluminosilicate glass is the same stuff they use in helicopter canopies...that's pretty tough stuff. Roughly 20-30 times stronger than the plastic Apple was previously using for the case.

If you drop your phone, you have more to worry about breaking than the glass bezel. The screen is the most fragile part of the phone and the least easy to protect. If you have problems keeping your phone safe, then the best option is to get a full-coverage shock-resistant case.

LOL I hope your main source of income isn't from being an exclusive iphone developer. You may want to get with the times and lookup "jailbreaking an iphone 101" in your search engine of choice.

OLED is a bit behind IPS LED-Backlit LCD in overall picture quality and power consumption. It's a matter of time before it catches up and I was hopeful of an OLED screen in the iPhone 4 as OLED won't catch up without getting products to market.

Glass backing is a surprise but I'm most interested in the 300 hours of stand by time. No more charging my iPhone every day.

Why all the screen upgrades? Sure, it looks got for the 4 seconds you read a text message, but honestly, who watches movies and edits videos on their phone? Why would you want to watch a movie on a 4-inch screen, anyway? It actually annoys me; I'd rather listen to music and sleep.
And, really, what part of a glass phone makes sense? When will companies (ALL mobile device companies, they're all obsessed with shiny, as is half the public) learn that durable materials>>>pretty materials.

Steve Jobs says that the 5 megapixels on the iPhone 4 is special because of the backside illuminated sensor and the ability to capture better photos in low-light conditions

Really? You means photos even better than the 8 MP cams?

Why when they talk about the camera, do they never give any details about the sensor. Sure its 5 megapixels and sure there are 8 megapixel camera phones, but whats the size of the cmos (or what ever sensor they have in there). Picture quality is not defined by megapixels alone.

Was it ever revealed in one of the teardowns?

Let's hope this product really gets a big following. In that case, Foxconn employees will finally have to work for the money they earn. Seriously, they only have to work 12 hours a day now, that surely can be increased to 16 hours?

Buying an Apple product is not ethical, period.

About the phone itself: like any Apple mobile device, it looks great and is technologically on par with most competitors. Great phone, but not an Android killer imo.

Apple is marketing new display on the iPhone 4 as "Retina Display," which refers to the display ultra-high pixel density of 326 pixels per inch. Apple listed a slide that says 300 pixels per inch is the limit of the retina, hence the marketing name.
LOL, like this is not linked with the distance at which the device is from your eyes!

I would never buy an Apple computer and I dislike AT&T, but for some reason the iPhone has a way of catching my eye every time. The abundance of apps in the app store and gorgeous looks will me upgrading my iPhone 3G. Sorry Android.

But hey, thanks to the new data caps on AT&T, don't use all of the features this phone is capable of. I'm impressed with the new features but the glass part, I'm not thrilled with. Glass on both sides and no warranty coverage for dropping?? NO WAY!
