iPhone 4 won't turn on

I've been using my iPhone4 for about 3-4years now. My phone was off since morning, throughout the day I could not on it. I remember it was 84% or more but I just could not understand why it won't turn on after I charged it! It just showed me the Apple logo and black background. what happened and what should I do to get back my phone to work?
