Is a laptop with a celeron processor able to handle anything?

The main thing that I want to do is download HD movies and watch them from the harddrive.

Would that be something that this laptop with a celeron processor could handle?

if you could afford it go with something that has a better cpu and video chipset since you want to look at hd movies .

It will have no issues playing 1080p although it would need an external monitor for that res.
