Is it possible to get good stereo separation from Logitech Z623 2.1 when re-purposed as TV speakers?

I'm using Logitech 2.1 Z623 speakers to power sound for my HDTV. I have them plugged into the headphone audio jack. I've noticed that I get very little, if any, stereo sound. Suggestions? Thank you.

Is not possible because you are relying on the Logitech built-in amp for separation, and it apparently suxs.

My recommendation, move away from Logitech.
