Solved! Is it possible to have video in on a hdmi port on my toshiba laptop

was wanting to record some old vhs to dvd and was curious if I could use the hdmi port on my computer to record on my laptop what I was playing on a vhs player??

The HDMI port on your laptop is an output. You cant input any signals inside. Maybe some kind of tv tuner card might help you.
