Is it possible to overclock laptops?

With certain software, is it possible to OC the onboard gpu or even CPU? Can it be done without frying or ruining the stock fan onthe laptop or will the laptop just shut off... Ive never done this on a laptop.

It's possible, sure. Just not recommended. Notebooks don't have anywhere near the cooling power of desktops, nor do they have a flexible power supply. The performance gains are generally pretty small - to me, not worth the time and effort.

Possible? Yes. Just a very bad idea. Laptop CPU's are optimized for low power consumption, the very antithesis of overclocking.

Yes it is possible. Some laptops are made for it. Head to the forums at http/forum.notebookreview.com/index.php and check out the gaming section and the forum on your particular laptop manufacturer.
