Is it possible to put a backlit keyboard in a laptop that did not have

As the topic states I want to put a backlit keyboard in my HP DV4t-5100 and was wondering if it were possible. If anyone is familiar with any websites that have any information I would greatly appreciate it.

I really doubt it. Almost all laptop keyboards are custom made for a specific model.

HP didn't make a back lit keyboard for that model. And unfortunately they did not build into it the necessary power pieces to be able to swap a back lit keyboard from a diff/similar model. Sorry to be the one to give the bad news 🙁

You can put it in. But it won't light up. The problem behind it is that where the keyboard connects to the MOBO does not have power to it that a back lit keyboard needs. Or else it would be as simple as doing just that.

Pretty much yes sir. The mobo in that model just simply wasn't made for it.

Most gaming keyboards are USB and backlight. EX: G110, sidewinder x4, sidewinder x6

But i dont want to use 2 keyboards, i want use a keyboard of laptop
