Is it worth the extra £100-£200 for a better graphics card

I am looking to get in to pc gaming and i need a laptop for uni. I looked at a couple msi laptops and saw some with a gtx860m and other with gtx870m. Is it really worth paying £100-£200 extra just for this.

you will need every inch of improvement to play current game titles.

if it was for desktop. then yes. because you can upgrade it later (sell the old part), for laptops... well, im not sure, never had one for gaming
