Is laptop screen LP154WX4 (TL)(CC) swap able with laptop screen LP154WX4 (TL)(A6)

Well i have a toshiba L305D with a broken screen and the model number on the screen is LP154WX4 (TL)(CC) i was wondering if i could replace it with the screen from a thinkpad r61 which has a screen with a model number LP154WX4 (TL)(A6). It seems like it should work because the model numbers are mostly the same and they look identical down to the size and connector. I thought i would just ask for a second opinion before i did anything.

Although there is no guarantee they will work (as the software/drivers/hardware may not be compatible), the only thing you can do is try.

Worst case, you have wasted some of your time and need to buy the part somewhere online.

Best case, it works and you save yourself the cost of buying a new part.
