It's been months since AMD announced their wireless AR/VR headset but since then we haven't heard from them again...
Is it possible that Sulon Q was never made possible and the prototype they showed people was actually fake?

Solution
Nonsense, they wouldn't announce it if they weren't making it.

Often what they show at these events is an early prototype, and release the actual product years later.
Take the PSVR for example, it was announced ages ago as Project Morpheus, underwent several prototypes and testing, and isn't even out yet!

If it were to be abandoned, they most likely would cease production on it quietly in the prototyping stage and either announce it quietly through social media or press statements.
Never expect to hear anything about products in their early stages, they are still being developed, and the company wants details to remain quiet should someone try to copy them or out the information early.

AMD isn't making the Sulon Q, Sulon is.

They did say it would be released this spring. It wasn't just an early prototype (by their claims).

Well, you know how these things are. :)
They keep it in the dark until a few weeks before, when they hike up the marketing and reveal specs & buzzwords etc. to sell their product before releasing it on the market.
Take Nvidia for example, nobody knew anything about when the GTX 10 series was coming out, there was only a vague idea based on past releases.
Then they released their 'Order Of 10' marketing campaign which was very clever, and just dropped it on the public at their editor event like it was their mix tape.

Stuff gets delayed all the time, I wouldn't worry about it.
If it gets cancelled or delayed, they'll let you know about it, otherwise its best to just wait in the dark for now.

But they haven't let us know about it. Spring ended a long time ago.
