Is the core i5 960k good for smooth vr?

Is the intel core i5 9600k good for smooth vr? I’m planning to urn it with a 6gb gtx 1060.
Is this setup good for vr I’ve never found many trusty results for vr so I want to ask for a result from a person who is well into this stuff.

Yes, the 9600k is a very good match for the GTX 1060. More than good actually. Some might even say it's overkill for that card. Really it's about what you want to see and you should have no problems with that combination.

Intel's web site shows the Intel Core I5-9600K has a release date of quarter four of 2018 (Q4'18). That means the processor was just released in the last month or so. It is a current generation processor.

Yes, then it is as I said before, a good match. If it had been the i7-960, not so much.
