I want to buy a lenovo laptop for college next year. I want to get the y550. Here are the specs:

Processor
Intel® Core™ Duo T4200 ( 2GHz 800MHz 1MB )

Operating system
Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium 64 (with upgrade to windows 7)

Graphics
Intel Integrated Graphics X4500

Memory
4 GB PC3-8500 DDR3 SDRAM 1066MHz
Display 15.6 " HD Wide LED 1366x768

Hard Drive
320GB 5400

Battery
6 Cell Lithium-Ion

This one will cost me $800 and that includes tax and a 3 year warranty. Now if i change the processor from the Intel® Core™ Duo T4200 to the Intel® Core™ 2 Duo processor T6400 it will cost me an extra $175 dollars. I dont know much about these processors, so will this processor make a big enough difference for me to spend an extra 175 dollars?

Lenovo has a sale that ends today so quick replies would be great! Thanks!

Solution
I would try a Dell Inspiron 15, you might get a better deal for the same specs. Without a 3 yr warranty and a 6 cell battery it's around $150 cheaper, and you get a T6500 which is even better than what you listed - factor in the same specs and you might get a discount
