I would like to buy a laptop mainly for high school work, but would also like it to have the capability to play somewhat intensive games in my free time. I have searched around and found that the Y510p is well liked for casual gaming. However, upon further research, I found that almost everyone who has tried using the extra graphics card in the ultra bay has had major problems with it overheating. It also looks like Lenovo is really bad in the customer service department. I do not have very much experience with computers, so I don't think I will be able to take apart the computer or change the software very well. Is the Y510p still good without SLI, or should I look into other laptops? I'm thinking about waiting for the ASUS N550JK or G550JK to have some discount deals, but that might be a long ways away. By the way, my budget is preferably under $800, and $1000 is the maximum. Right now, Lenovo has the Y510p for $899, but that deal is only open for a few more days.
EDIT: I did some more research into the G550JK, and it looks awesome (specs and aesthetics). The only problem is that it's so new that it's hard to find a supplier that can bring it into my price range. I also noticed that it only has HDD storage, while the Y510p has HDD and SSD.
