Someone got scammed and locked out of their computer- can't even get into it as it requires a startup password and nobody wants to fork over money to a scammer who may or may not give the password up afterwards.
He is concerned about getting his bookmarks back from Google Chrome. I was wondering if there is a way to transfer over bookmarks or a sort of file for Chrome when I pull his hard drive out and backup his data and put back on there when I reinstall Windows so he isn't missing them. So far everything I have ran into involves you needing actual access to the computer itself and go from within Chrome to export the bookmarks... hoping that there is a way to do it without having to access his OS since I can't anyway. Probably unimportant but he is running Windows 7.
