Is there a way to hack the service provider of a smartphone so that you would have unlimited talk text and web and not have to

I have a Samsung Galaxy Legend but I can't afford to pay the money to get the talk text and web back on. So I was wondering if you could hack in to the programming of the phone and change it so that you can talk text and get on the internet free of charge just like if you was to have the prepaid service active because all I have right now is Wi-Fi
