Hello,
It'll be certainly enough to play World of Warcraft, which does not need super high specifications. So for WoW, you're really safe, you'll normally be able to play it on ultra settings.
The graphics card will even handle recent games quite well, although with some lowered settings (check this page:
http
/www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForce-GTX-760M.92068.0.html -> Scroll completely downwards to the gaming list (last game is WoW)).
Work stuff (I guess programs like the Office packet and browsing, mails and stuff) will be no problem at all.
As the processors looks good as well, it won't be a problem for any of the above mentioned things.
An SSD won't have much impact on the FPS-rate, but more on the loading times of the pc itself (booting, starting programs and response speed) but is always preferred above a normal HDD (except if you'd prefer a bigger drive more and doesn't really care about the speed: it's not that big of loss, I'd say, and much more expensive. But If you got the money for it, it's always an advantage).
I hope this gives an answer on your question?
I didn't exactly look for any alternatives as this one would fit your needs but you could certainly check for the next couple of things:
- Do I want a bigger screen (17" is a big difference, but also in mobility: do you travel a lot? Or are you going to sit a lot at home and could use a bigger screen?)?
- No Blu-Ray (if you use this a lot, it could be a problem)
Also: does it need to be an Asus? Not that it's not good, but you could check MSI (specifically: MSI Apache Pro) as well, as they too offer great laptops.
If you know a thing or two about computer specifications, this post might come in handy:
