I got Lenovo Y50 and my minecraft changes between 60-80 fps, this is weird, because my old laptop used to get more and it's specs was worse than this one:

New Laptop specs:
8GB RAM
Intel core i7 4710 HQ Quad core 2.5 ghz
GTX 860M 4GB.

Thanks indeed

Solution
Try setting minecraft to force run using your nvidia graphics card:
Right click on desktop and click "Nvidia control panel"

1) From NVIDIA Control Panel -> 'Manage 3D Settings' -> 'Program Settings', 'Add'
2) Locate your javaw.exe (eg : 'C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin' (jre7 for Java 7, 'Program Files (x86)' for 32-bit Java on x64 )), select 'open'.
3) Click apply
