so i came across http://www.oldapps.com/ (
) and it looks like they have old versions of apps for Win2000 and Win98SE that i can't find directly from the legit place (like adobe, foxit, etc)

are they safe? anyone used them? is there a way to verify?

If you have a quality AV / Anti Malware Suite, you get no warnings from your secure browser when accessing and they do not violate any licensing terms , I'd give it a shot. Again, you still need a legitimate license to use them.

thanks! i only found it today through random googling for a PDF reader, so it's good to know i can use them for my vintage 'fix' of other programs too like Irfanview / VLC / Malwarebytes / etc.

i love legitimately free programs!!!

This one has been around even longer. It predates Windows XP I believe. It's the one I've always used.
