Been looking for a laptop that can play games decently or well now, so that future games will be at least playable.
I'm in the US, hoping to spend about $800 - $1200. The thing I care about most is efficiency for the price and having it still be able to work and play some actual games in 4-5 years.
The Y500 seems to fit the bill perfectly for a laptop that has great hardware for the price... Although I've read a lot about people supporting it being $800 and I've only seen it for $1100 - $1300. Is that right, or did they jack up the price? Also, what's the largest (weekly?) discount price I should be waiting for to buy?
I would be open to other ideas. I was thinking about the custom Clevo/Sagers, which seem to be the same or slightly better but cost an extra $200-$300.
