Is upgrading my amp worth it?

So in my truck I have two 4 ohm Rockford Fosgate P1s (http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/products/details/p1s4-10) that are being powered by a Rockford Fosgate P300-1 (http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/products/details/p300-1). Since these subs can handle 200 more watts, do you think it would be worth upgrading to something like a Fosgate R500-1 (http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/products/details/r500-1)? Would it make that much of a difference? Would this amp be the best choice to switch to? Thanks in advance.

Solution
There are two things to consider.
1. Would you actually use the added power? More power by itself doesn't sound better unless you are trying to play the speakers louder than the amp can handle. If the bass is clean and you don't notice any distortion then you don't need more power.
2. Do the amps perform differently in the bass? In this case the R300 uses mosfet output transistors which tend to have a sweet sound but are not as tight as a bipolar amp. The R500 doesn't use mosfets but doesn't actually state what kind of outputs are used.
I would call Rockford Fosgate and ask whether the R500 is a better bass amp than the R300.
