is it worth upgrading to asus xonar stx from xonar dx

Hi,
I have swan m200mkii speakers with asus xonar dx connected to it
I am not very happy with the sound quality
will it be worth upgrading the sound card to xonar stx for better sound quality? will it be noticeably better?
i won't be using headphones so i don't require headphone amp etc
i only wish to get better sound quality out of my speakers

Hey,

What is it about your sound quality specifically that is giving you troubles? By most accounts, the powered Swans for multimedia are pretty good to very good for the price, (though as with any speaker, it just might not be your preference). Also, if possible could you include a picture of your setup? There could be some odd ascoustic anomaly going on.
