Issue with Bluetooth reciever

I have connected a Bluetooth audio reciever to direct music to speakers in another room. The problem is when it plays through the reciever the sound no longer comes out of the pc which also has speakers connected to it. The Bluetooth reciever only puts out sound if I change the settings in iTunes playback to direct drive but that is when the pc speakers cut out and the Bluetooth ones cut in
